MagicLane revamps B2B platform for smoother integration of location intelligence

Mapping and location platform MagicLane has launched a redesigned Developer Portal to make it easier for developers to leverage its location, navigation and mobility technologies.

The Developer Portal is used by software engineers, product teams, and technical partners integrating MagicLane’s solutions into their own products such as micromobility apps, delivery platforms, automotive systems, and smart city solutions.

Launched ahead of next week’s Micromobility Europe conference, the new release offers a smarter onboarding flow, personalised recommendations and access to tutorials, with the aim of streamlining development and reducing time-to-integration.

“Delivering an exceptional developer experience is central to our mission,” Tim Urlings, Head of Product at MagicLane, told Zag Daily. “This update reflects our commitment to providing intuitive, high-performance tools that help developers innovate faster and with confidence.”

The Amsterdam-based company, which competes with Google, TomTom and Mapbox, is known for its Software Development Kits (SDKs) that let companies embed mapping, location and navigation functionalities into vehicles, apps and online platforms.

Rebuilt from the ground up, the startup’s new Developer Portal comes with a modernised user interface, a refactored code base, as well as a streamlined onboarding process which lets developers set preferences and receive tailored recommendations.

The portal redesign comes one year after the company secured €3 million in investment to develop its location intelligence software in micromobility and expand commercial operations.

MagicLane will be showcasing the revamped portal next week at Micromobility Europe in Brussels.
