Lime and TIER have partnered with Paris public transport agency RATP, with their micromobility fleets set to be integrated into the RATP app.
Starting in 2022, riders will be able to use the Bonjour RATP app to rent micromobility devices without needing to download or open the Lime or TIER app.
The firms started operating shared e-scooters in Paris last summer after winning the tender alongside Dott.
Currently, Lime manages a fleet of more than 3,000 e-scooters and 1,350 e-bikes in the city, while TIER has more than 4,000 e-scooters.
Lime has agreed to similar integrations with city-managed transport apps in Berlin and Sydney, while also partnering with Google Maps, Uber, Moovit and CityMapper in various cities around the world.
“We’re excited that for the first time, RATP riders will be able to access e-bikes via the Bonjour RATP app to help make seamless multi-modal journeys,” said Garance Lefevre, Lime’s Director for Government Relations.
“We’re focused on making it as easy as possible to leave the car at home, and innovative partnerships with public transport help to achieve that goal.”
