TIER e-bikes reach Hammersmith & Fulham

TIER has today launched a fleet of dockless e-bikes in the London borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.

This makes the borough the first West London location to have TIER e-bikes on its streets.

Up to 250 e-bikes are now available from parking bays across the borough.

These are charged at the same rate as TIER’s e-scooters – £1 to unlock and £0.15 per minute riding.

Regular riders using e-bikes for full or partial commutes can benefit from day to monthly passes.

Eligible riders including jobseekers, students and Blue Light Card holders can also benefit from TIER’s UK Access Scheme, which provides 50% of all trips for six months.

Hammersmith & Fulham has become the second borough to launch TIER e-bikes following their launch in Islington last year.

Since late March 2022, HumanForest, Lime and Dott have all introduced fleets of e-bikes in the borough.

“Today, we celebrate 1,000 electric rental bicycles in Hammersmith & Fulham – another important milestone on the road to becoming the greenest borough in Britain,” said Councillor Wesley Harcourt, Cabinet Member for Environment, Transport and Residents Services at Hammersmith & Fulham Council.

“On top of our growing e-bike fleet, we’re working hard to create more protected bike lanes in the borough to make cycling accessible and safe for all.”

Georgia Yexley, General Manager for UK and Ireland, said: “E-bikes are a great addition to our offering, encouraging people to ditch their cars and hop on a greener, cleaner vehicle that suits them.

“Even the smallest changes to our travel habits can make a big difference, and by introducing these vehicles to the area, we hope to replace more short car journeys with our e-bikes.”
