Dance adds integrated navigation feature for seamless experience

E-bike and e-moped subscription firm Dance is launching a new integrated navigation feature aiming to provide customers with a seamless riding experience.

Dubbed ‘Routing’, the new feature uses real-time data to analyse traffic patterns and provide tailored biking routes, as well as weather updates, directly in Dance’s app.

The integration avoids the need for riders to juggle between apps to find the most convenient route while manoeuvring through busy city streets.

“Dance is building a comprehensive product experience that seamlessly integrates hardware and software,” said Dance Founder and CEO Eric Quidenus-Wahlforss.

“Our goal is to enhance our dashboard by integrating all essential functionalities to ensure a seamless riding experience.”

Diverse features

Dance vehicles already include features like CO2 savings tracking and pace monitoring.

“We’re progressing to the next level with Routing. Additional features that align with our mission of enhancing technology-enabled riding experiences will be constructed and unveiled progressively,” said Quidenus-Wahlforss.

Before the official launch, the firm is conducting a beta program to gather user feedback about the feature. Subscribers can sign up for the waitlist here and selected participants will receive an invitation.

The initial launch of Routing is scheduled for Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Vienna, and Paris at a date to be confirmed.

Earlier this month, the company announced a partnership with car-sharing provider Miles to encourage customers to choose more environmentally-friendly mobility options.
