Mobility operator UrbanLink Air Mobility has announced a pre-purchase of 20 Integrity eVTOLs from Spanish manufacturer Crisalion Mobility.
UrbanLink already operates various electric vehicles, including the Eviation Alice commuter aircraft and sea vessels from Regent Craft and Artemis Technologies.
The move marks a significant step for UrbanLink into the European market, with a focus on routes connecting cities such as Madrid and Milan.
The Integrity eVTOL, currently under development, is designed to carry five passengers and a pilot.
Equipped with Crisalion’s proprietary FlyFree technology, the aircraft is designed to reduce emissions and vibrations while optimising passenger comfort and operational efficiency.
Ed Wegel, Founder and Chairman of UrbanLink, described Crisalion as “one of Europe’s most well-funded and expertly managed eVTOL manufacturers”.
UrbanLink has taken a diversified approach to its fleet, partnering with multiple OEMs to spread risks related to regulatory approvals and delivery timelines.
Wegel noted that the Integrity eVTOL will complement other aircraft in UrbanLink’s fleet. He highlighted the Eviation Alice for regional flights of up to 1,000 miles and the expected Lilium Jet for bespoke private services in the U.S.
“Each aircraft and vessel in our fleet is purpose-built for specific mission profiles,” said Wegel. “By maintaining relationships with multiple OEMs, we can mitigate certification risks and scale operations more efficiently as production timelines vary.”This partnership is part of UrbanLink’s broader strategy to integrate air, sea, and ground transportation in its operating regions. In addition to its European plans, UrbanLink has established bases in the U.S. and the Caribbean, with specialised fleets tailored for each market.
