The Sky Alliance for Automated Air Mobility (SALAAM Earth) has partnered with exhibition organiser MIE Group to host the UAE’s Evolve Expo and Summit for advanced air mobility.

Taking place on 15 to 18 October in Sharjah, the Evolve Expo is said to become the Middle East and North Africa region’s “premier EV and Mobility Platform”, uniting industry leaders, policymakers, and academics to collaborate on policies for green air travel.

The partnership between SALAAM Earth, a consortium led by FlyNow Aviation, and MIE Group is the start of a broader engagement which enables all sectors and entities participating in the Expo and Summit to continue exchanging ideas on the sector.

“We are on the edge of an entirely new mobility and economy: The low altitude economy,” President of SALAAM Yvonne Winter told Zag Daily. “Jointly with MIE, we embrace the future and use our strength to serve the people and the governments to implement a safe, secure, silent, clean and joyful way to commute and travel.”

The Evolve Expo and Summit, designed to facilitate partnerships, discussions and innovations in greener air travel, includes multiple key areas of collaboration between SALAAM Earth and MIE Group.

MIE’s experience in hosting large-scale international trade events will connect governments, investors and technology providers to promote SALAAM’s urban air mobility (UAM) solutions.

Given the rise of UAM across the Middle East, the partnership aims to support the growth of both entities, and FlyNow Aviation is planning on deploying its family of eCopters in the region.

The SALAAM consortium will leverage knowledge of its experts in mobility, infrastructure, IT-solutions and regulatory frameworks to implement and scale 3D-mobility.

SALAAM will also work with government and regulatory bodies to ensure the safety and scalability of UAM, while MIE’s experience in compliance and project management is to support this.

MIE Group Vice President Zahoor Ahmed told Zag: “Through this collaboration, we aim to deliver cutting-edge policies and strategies that will not only shape the future of the sector but also drive impactful change across industries.”
