Aerospace startup Moya Aero is partnering with Altair, a global leader in simulation and computational intelligence, to accelerate the development of its eVTOL and unmanned aerial vehicles.

The collaboration is part of Altair’s Aerospace Startup Acceleration Program (ASAP), which supports emerging companies with cutting-edge technology and expertise.

Based in São José dos Campos, Brazil, Moya Aero was founded in 2020 to tackle logistics challenges with sustainable, autonomous cargo aircraft.

The startup aims to develop high-capacity UAVs to make cargo delivery more efficient and accessible, especially in underserved areas. With Altair’s HyperWorks design and simulation tools, Moya Aero plans to streamline its design process, cut down on prototyping costs, and bring its aircraft to market faster.

The partnership allows Moya aero to integrate advanced simulation and optimization tools into its development process, helping its team identify design improvements early and create safer, more reliable aircraft.

“In short, by leveraging current technology trends and utilising Altair solutions, we are not just positioning but pioneering our company to lead the cargo UAV market, demonstrating excellence by delivering innovative, efficient, and high-quality products. Our vision and potential are truly inspiring,” Alexandre Zaramela, Founder and CEO of Moya Aero told Zag Daily.

Moya Aero is also working on a remotely piloted demonstrator aircraft, weighing over 150 kg, with support from Finep, Brazil’s funding authority for innovation projects.
