Shared operator Voi has launched its newest e-scooter safety campaign to educate users about responsible riding.

Dubbed “Let’s get it right”, it aims to raise awareness about behaviours that put riders, pedestrians and other road users at risk. This includes riding through red lights, intoxicated riding, pavement riding, twin riding and bad parking.

From in-app messages to videos and stills, the campaign will encourage riders to follow the rules of the road.

The campaign will run for six weeks and will target people living in the 80+ towns and cities where Voi operates.

Voi also commits to hosting more than 100 safety training events across the UK and Europe throughout its peak season.

Jack Samler, General Manager at Voi UK and Ireland, said: “As micromobility adoption continues to grow across the UK, supporting green, equitable mobility for all, we’re committed to ensuring that all riders know and follow the rules. Besides investing in rider education and innovative technology, we believe that this new campaign will raise awareness of how important it is for riders to ‘get it right’.”

Another reason for this campaign is to “reach new riders and nudge them into testing our shared micromobility service,” said Caroline Hjelm, Head of Marketing at Voi.

“We want to help towns and cities reach their sustainability targets by reducing car dependency, which can only be done if more people utilise shared electric mobility options.”

The campaign, developed together with Super Tuesday, follows last year’s messaging which encouraged riders across the UK to ‘Ride Safe, Park Smart’ and always wear a helmet.
