Voi has linked up with road safety training company TTC Group to lead its safe riding skills events across the UK.
TTC Group is one of the UK’s largest driver and rider training providers, educating more than 500,000 road users annually. It is one of only a few organisations accredited to the ISO:39001 Road Traffic Safety Management Systems standard.
Through this partnership, TTC will run Voi’s safety training events, including both off and on-road practical sessions from April 2022.
During these safety training days, Voi will be handing out free helmets, a day pass worth £10, credits worth £5 for those who attend its basic skills session and a further £5 credit for those who attend the road skills session.
Riders are invited to register at one of Voi and TTC’s e-scooter or e-bike safe riding skills events via Eventbrite.
Besides the events Voi will be hosting, customers are also encouraged to complete its online traffic school – RideLikeVoila.
Jack Samler, General Manager at Voi UK and Ireland, said: “This partnership with TTC takes our rider safety skills training to a new level, with Voi gaining from TTC Group’s decades of experience delivering behavioural change for all road users, and providing TTC with the opportunity to enter a growing new transport sector.”
Jim Kirkwood TTC Group Chief Executive, added: “We are delighted to be collaborating with Voi to develop and deliver practical rider skills training. This initiative fits well with our vision to protect people on the move regardless of their mode of transport, and our expertise in the provision of road safety training for vulnerable road users.”
The news follows Voi’s announcement of hitting the 100 million ride milestone in Europe last week.
