THG Fulfil, the major fulfilment and courier management solution from THG Ingenuity, has partnered with e-cargo delivery company Zedify to offer customers a sustainable ‘Eco’ option at checkout.

THG Ingenuity boasts clients like Nestlé, Mondelez, Kraft Heinz and Coca-Cola. As of 2023, it operates 13 fulfilment centres and nine production centres globally, including its ICON facility in Manchester, spanning 780,000 sq ft – the third-largest Autostore globally, enabling THG Fulfil to manage up to one million outbound units daily.

Through this collaboration, THG Fulfil will leverage Zedify’s innovative zero-emission delivery network for a portion of its deliveries in major cities across the UK.

Jon Williams, Chief Commercial Officer at Zedify, told Zag Daily: “Our partnership with THG is not only transformative for the Zedify business – it also signposts the direction of travel for last mile as a whole.

“As the first major fulfilment brand to offer a dedicated Eco option at checkout, THG are raising the bar on consumer expectations from brands and their fulfilment partners. At Zedify, we’re excited to see how customers will react to this choice, and we will continue to strive for cargo bikes as the default selection for urban deliveries.”

Zedify’s cargo bike-first service offers a faster and more environmentally friendly alternative to traditional delivery methods, particularly within urban areas, with over 80% lower carbon emissions even when compared to an electric van.

Tom Killeen, Chief Operating Officer for THG Ingenuity, added: “Everything we have built within THG Fulfil has been with one obsession in mind – the end consumer. As the e-commerce landscape continues to evolve, consumer demand for eco-conscious operations increases. Partnering with Zedify enables us to not only deliver against our own sustainability goals: it also allows us to provide our customers and their end consumers with delivery options that align with their environmental values.”
