Superpedestrian e-scooters now live in Nottingham’s bus app

Superpedestrian has partnered with Nottingham City Transport to make its shared e-scooters available in the NCTX Buses app and website.

The integration will make public transport more accessible and advance access to Superpedestrian’s e-scooters.

“This new integration should help raise awareness about how e-scooters can widen the catchment area for public transport, supporting Nottingham residents to use e-scooters for first and last mile connectivity,” Superpedestrian’s Policy Director for the UK and Ireland, Jean Andrews, told Zag Daily.

“As well as promoting more sustainable modes, Superpedestrian’s integration with NCTX has added co-benefits for the city around reduced congestion and improved local air quality. We hope to see a lot more of these types of integrations across other cities where we operate, as they represent the future of sustainable mobility.”

Riders can use the NCTX Buses app or explore the map online to plan their journey, find scooters, view live departures, browse timetables and learn about service updates. Real time scooter locations will show on the map and web app to help customers determine if they are a good choice. When using the NCTX app, results include direct links to book a scooter through the Superpedestrian app.

Superpedestrian will be using in-app messages throughout the week to inform riders that they can use NCTX to plan their journey using e-scooters and the bus network together.

This integration is Superpedestrian and Nottingham City Transport’s latest effort to make public transport more accessible. Earlier this month, Zag Daily reported that Superpedestrian has deployed parking racks throughout the city.
