E-scooter operator Superpedestrian has launched a subscription pass program offering key workers discounted transport in Nottingham, England.

For £30 a month, they can receive 90 rides lasting up to 15 minutes. Past the first 15 minutes, and after reaching the monthly limit, Superpedestrian’s standard rates apply.

Key workers are defined by the UK Government as those in key public services like education and childcare, food and necessary goods, health and social care, public safety and national security, transport, among others.

Superpedestrian said that key workers often work behind the scenes, but are the people who deserve the most recognition for the important jobs they do to keep Nottingham running. This new pass program will help them get to those essential jobs while also helping their monthly budget.

The pass is available to key workers living or working within the Nottingham City Council Administrative Boundary who have at least a provisional drivers licence.

“The key workers pass is designed so that they can get to and from work every day of the month and also take other kinds of trips, such as errands or meeting friends,” Jean Andrews, Policy Director at Superpedestrian, told Zag Daily. “Given the average ride duration in Nottingham, we estimate that key workers, who maximise their Pass use, will save up to 90 percent.

Superpedestrian is inviting those who fall within this category to sign up for a pass via its subscription form.
