Vehicle leasing company Arval has collaborated with payment and mobility platform XXImo to launch a mobility pass which lets corporate clients manage their employee’s mobility.

The Arval Mobility Pass combines a payment card with an app and management portal, and gives employees access to a range of mobility services including parking, public transport, shared mobility, business travel and taxi services in Europe.

Launched in the Netherlands, Arval’s and BNP Paribas employees will have first access to the pass before it next extends to Arval’s corporate clients.

“The Arval Mobility Pass can have a social impact with affordable mobility that the employer opens or restricts depending on the mobility plan and services accessible to all employees,” Arval’s Mobility Director Amélie Phélip told Zag Daily.

“It also has an environmental impact with CO2 reporting provided for each transaction and each cardholder.”

The pass is also designed to enable employers to have real time control of the mobility choices made at work, and employers can use the portal to implement mobility policies, monitor travel expenses and track carbon emissions.

“Employers need to be supported with simple offers to help them promote sustainable mobility. As many stakeholders can be involved, the simplicity of arranging mobility options for employees is key.”

Amélie also believes that the Arval Mobility Pass may bring incentives to the hiring process.

According to the 2022 Arval Mobility Observatory Employee survey, 66% of employees worldwide consider the mobility solutions offered by their future company to be an important criterion.

“By integrating all mobility services, the Arval Mobility Pass answers to the needs of the employees expecting a lot from their employers in this matter, and brings to companies full visibility on the costs and benefits.”
