The UK’s Department for Transport (DfT) has opened an “expression of interest process” for local authorities not currently participating in the e-scooter trials to register their interest in running a new e-scooter trial in their area.
The UK’s first network of mobility hubs is being piloted in the West Midlands as part of a £400,000 project funded by the Department for Transport (DfT).
New data from the Department for Transport reveals that it’s unknown if a user was riding a private or rental e-scooter for 30% of e-scooter user casualties recorded in 2023.
The UK government is to invest “unprecedented levels of funding” in active travel to improve health, combat climate change, and reduce pressures on the NHS.
