A new expo that will delve into the projects shaping the future of sustainable transport in Saudi Arabia is taking place on 28th October 2024.

The mobility event will run at the Fairmont Hotel in Riyadh but will also be broadcast live via LinkedIn

Set up by sustainable transport certification company ModeScore, the event will feature four panels that will shed light on pivotal topics affecting the future of sustainable mobility in the region.

These include a panel on ‘Riyadh’s Mega Projects’ exploring major infrastructure developments; a panel on ‘EVs and Future mobility’ studying the introduction of EVs and vertical mobility solutions, with insights from FlyNow Aviation, Velocity and Saudi National Automotive Manufacturing Company (SNAM); and ‘Active Travel’ looking at the cycle and scooter schemes available.

“This event is unique as it marks the first time in Saudi Arabia that a forum will bring together decision-makers from major projects, government, and sustainable mobility providers for discussion,” ModeScore Co-founder James Nash told Zag Daily. “Ideas will be shared, and we hope this will fuel continued collaboration between stakeholders in Saudi Arabia on the topic of sustainable mobility.”

The conference will build on ModeScore’s report ‘Transitioning to Sustainable Transport in Riyadh: How Riyadh’s Mega Projects are Spearheading Change’. It will be hosted by GCC sustainability expert Charles Phillips and there will be networking opportunities, followed by an evening drinks reception.
