A Shared Mobility Summer Course will be running in London this August for urban transport professionals seeking to understand critical aspects of shared mobility, the future growth potential and behaviour change.

Titled ‘From Mindshift to Modeshift’, the three-day programme is run by movmi, EIT Urban Mobility and Loud Mobility.

The programme will offer participants theoretical knowledge, practical insights and networking opportunities with senior professionals, policymakers and local experts.

“For the past 14 years, our team has worked at the forefront of shared mobility and we have learnt that increasing the appeal and reach of shared mobility beyond a single digit percentage is a challenge every city and operator is facing,” movmi Founder and CEO Sandra Phillips told Zag Daily.

“There are so many moving pieces: overall system design, user behaviour change, stakeholder management and regulatory frameworks that can help or hinder the adoption. Spending three days deep diving into these will help you to tweak your programmes and increase adoption in your city.”

Sandra will be hosting sessions on design biases in transportation. Other sessions include regulatory challenges with shared mobility expert Michael Glotz-Richter, and how to address transport poverty from Georgia Yexley, Founder of Loud Mobility.

The course is capped at 25 participants and will feature a mix of presentations, group work, excursions and exclusive dinner networking events to meet the London transport ecosystem.

Gautam Rao, Head of Competence Hub, in charge of these types of programme at EIT Urban Mobility, commented: “To bridge the knowledge gap and make mobility in our cities more sustainable, EIT Urban Mobility is dedicated to supporting impact-oriented training courses for transport professionals. Peer-to-peer learning and practical workshops ensure concrete and continuous learning, fostering collaboration and innovation. We are very excited to launch this new collaboration with Movmi and Loud Mobility in London and look forward to having the course’s first cohort.”
