Belgian scale-up Shippr, which is looking to reinvent same-day delivery, has announced new operations in London with plans to expand further across the UK market.
Founded in 2017, Shippr is on a mission to revolutionise B2B urban logistics by connecting businesses across all sectors with a vast network of independent couriers and transport companies.
Present in Belgium and Paris, the platform offers personalised same-day delivery solutions, from cargo bikes to refrigerated trucks.
Its app streamlines delivery management with features like route optimisation, real-time tracking, advanced communication tools and automatic invoicing.
To help delivery professionals find clients, Shippr’s platform offers direct access to delivery opportunities across various sectors, including food, events, retail, wholesalers and spare parts.
For businesses, an intuitive dashboard provides control and oversight of deliveries. From real-time tracking to delivery proofs, the data allows managers to stay informed and make critical decisions about their business operations.
“Today we have 100 courier partners, and several London-based companies will soon start deliveries with Shippr,” the CEO and Co-Founder Romain Syed told Zag Daily.
“Before expanding to new markets, we want to be a leader in London and Paris in the first and last mile delivery space.”
In November last year, the firm closed a €10 million financing round led by the UK’s Force Over Mass Capital, Belgium’s Simplicity and SFPI/FPIM.
The financial boost is enabling Shippr to enhance recruitment efforts, with plans to grow its team from 40 to over 100 employees across Europe.
Shippr is committed to implementing a sustainable strategy and aims to become B-Corp certified by 2024, operating as a carbon-neutral company by 2025.
