CES is the ultimate tech showcase—equal parts fascinating and overwhelming.
It’s a jam-packed week of headline-making Keynotes and groundbreaking announcements from the world’s biggest companies.
From AI to robots and autonomous vehicles, the technology on display at CES 2025 was truly awe-inspiring.
At VMAX E-scooters—founded in Switzerland in 2015 and expanded to the USA in 2023 with an LA headquarters—we arrived at CES with a clear purpose: to unveil six new electric scooters and showcase our latest technology and innovation.
Positioned in the Micromobility Zone of the Las Vegas Convention Center’s North Hall, our booth set the stage for the future of electric scooters.
Showcasing innovation
If there was ever a time to showcase our innovative, groundbreaking products, then CES is the place. At this year’s show, we introduced six new scooters that are set to launch throughout 2025, starting in the spring. The future of mass e-scooter use is closer than ever, and we’re proud to lead the charge.
Fans will be thrilled to see that the new VX2 now features full suspension—oil-based shocks in the front and patented elastomer suspension in the rear— a long-requested addition. Riders can choose between a gear motor with incredible torque or a brushless motor offering 1900W of peak power and a top speed of 33 mph.
The new VX4 takes our leading power scooter to the next level with more power and speed, a longer range, adjustable suspension, and an increased voltage from 48V to 52V.
Our lineup also includes exciting new models like the VX8. This is an ultra-light carbon fiber scooter weighing just 33 lbs yet packing heavyweight specs like a high-torque gear motor that conquers hills with ease.
The VX7 is a compact commuter scooter with folding foot platforms designed for a comfortable forward-facing riding position. It’s perfect for folding up and taking on public transportation, and its removable battery makes it ideal for city life.
Finally, we unveiled our ultimate flagship dual-motor sports scooter – the VX6 – which delivers 5500W of peak power, a top speed of 43 mph, and rides smoothly on 11-inch tires.
We also showcased our newly designed switch for easy access to turn signals and scooter settings, along with our integrated TFT display which supports seven languages for a more versatile and user-friendly experience.
Connecting Beyond the Booth
CES is more than just a tech showcase—it’s about the connections and moments that happen both around the booth and beyond the convention hall.
It was incredible to meet with colleagues from VMAX who flew in from near and far, connecting in person as a team for the full week. We also had the chance to engage with counterparts from other scooter brands, exchange ideas, and share insights about the industry.
Since CES ended, one of the most common questions I’ve been asked is: “Was it successful?”
While only time will tell the full impact, I walked away with a different feeling—one full of optimism. Hearing feedback from influencers, retailers, and customers alike, it’s clear the market is hungry for high-quality mobility products.
One of the highlights was meeting VMAX electric scooter riders and retail partners face-to-face. There’s nothing quite like putting names to faces and shaking hands in person after so many virtual interactions. We also met with members of the media and influencers who are passionate about the micromobility space, strengthening relationships and building new ones.
Outside the hall, the conversations continued over drinks and dinner after the show, and early morning coffee before the day kicked off. CES isn’t just about showcasing products; it’s a place to grow your business and connect with people who can help meet just about every business need imaginable. The energy, collaboration, and opportunities make CES a truly unique experience.
A Tip for Brands Showcasing at CES
Attending CES as an exhibitor is a huge undertaking. It’s a significant investment of both time and money, with work starting well before the event and continuing long after. For any brand considering a presence at CES, one of the best things you can do is consult with others who’ve attended before. Their insights can help you prepare for what’s ahead.
Be ready for a whirlwind week—expect sleepless nights, sore legs, and long hours. Comfortable shoes are a must. And remember, the real work often begins after the show, as you follow up on leads and connections made during the event.
That said, there’s no better way to kick off the year than at CES. The energy of the event is contagious, and it sets the tone for what’s to come. It’s only mid-January, but our wheels are already turning at high gear.
If CES is any indication, 2025 is shaping up to be an incredible year of innovation in mobility—not just for VMAX, but for the industry as a whole.
