Dott partners with Brussels transport apps MOVEBXL and Arval Mobility

Shared micromobility operator Dott has partnered with Instant System to integrate its e-scooters and e-bikes within two of Instant System’s Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) apps.

These apps are MOVEBXL, an all-in-one mobility service app that groups all means of transport in Brussels, and Arval Mobility, a corporate MaaS solution built with Arval BNP Paribas Group.

Users of the apps can view the location and battery status of Dott’s e-scooters and e-bikes in real time before being redirected to Dott’s own app for booking.

Dott’s micro-mobility services will be fully integrated from Q3 of 2022 meaning finding, unlocking and paying for its vehicles can all be achieved within the two apps.

Instant System develops white-label digital solutions such as passenger information, ticketing and MaaS for transport authorities to meet their city’s daily mobility needs.

Stephen Croix, CMO at Dott, said: “We want to make it as easy as possible for more people to choose our fleet of shared e-scooters and e-bikes to travel across their city in the most efficient and environmentally friendly way.”

“This new partnership with Instant System will show more people how Dott can improve travel around their city, whether with a more pleasant commute or an easier way to go and see friends.”

The partnership will also provide city authorities with deeper insights into the demand for micromobilities, helping form policies that meet their citizens’ needs.

Instant System and Dott will now look to expand into other areas where both companies operate.

Farah Khemissi, VP of Customer Success at Instant System, said: “Mobility service providers like Dott have become a valuable part of the daily commute of many today and are shifting the way people travel. We are excited to work with Dott as we believe partnerships like ours will advance sustainable mobility for everyone.”

Dott currently operates over 40,000 e-scooters in 25 cities across Europe.

Earlier this month, Dott announced it has raised over $150m in Series B funding.
