Captur is rolling out its AI-parking assist solution across 50+ markets in the U.S. thanks to a new partnership with micromobility operator Veo.
Captur’s tech has already reduced mis-parking by 80+% in major European cities, and it’s aiming for similar results in the U.S. to keep sidewalks clear and accessible for all.
Improper parking has remained a big challenge for operators in the U.S. with many existing parking compliance tools requiring providers to manually review end-to-end photos to confirm proper parking. This adds time and effort to the process. With Captur’s visual AI assistance, only compliant images are captured, enabling businesses to scale without compromising on quality. Its solution can adapt to any local parking regulations or vehicle type. Cities and operators can also use the data as a signal to pinpoint locations where parking infrastructure improvements are needed most.
Candice Xie, CEO and Co-founder of Veo, told Zag Daily: “With Captur’s AI-powered parking technology, we expect to save our field technicians hundreds of hours each year per market. This integration will mean less time spent auditing end-of-ride photos or retrieving mis-parked scooters and more time dedicated to fleet management—keeping vehicles fully charged, in the right places, and ready for riders when they need them. It’s a huge efficiency boost that lets us focus on delivering the best possible service.”
In November, Veo will activate Captur’s parking technology in Washington DC; New York City, NY; College Park, the University of Maryland; West Lafayette, Purdue University; and Veo’s home base of Santa Monica, CA – making these the first U.S. jurisdictions to gain access to Captur’s solution.
