Zag Daily is proud to announce that we are partnering with our friends WMG at the University of Warwick to showcase the UK’s only in-person, dedicated micromobility event – Micromobility UK 2023.
This is the 3rd edition of WMG’s annual event and is set to be its biggest yet.
It will be held at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire on 11th May and is free to attend.
WMG’s goal is to support UK manufacturing businesses in creating a vibrant and prosperous micromobility ecosystem.
This ecosystem includes everything from bicycles, e-bikes and cargo bikes, through emerging vehicles categories like e-scooters and novel last mile delivery vehicles, to the electrification of L-category mopeds, motorbikes, trikes and quadricycles.
Opening the proceedings will be Mark Urbanowski, Principal Engineer for Micromobility at WMG; Richard Hill, Sector Head of Mobility and Logistics at NatWest; and Anthony Ferguson, Head of Traffic and Technology at the Department for Transport.
Then there will be two sessions with individual presentations and panels.
Speaking in session one is Scott Thompson, Programme Director of the Niche Vehicle Network; Phil Ellis, CEO and Co-Founder of Beryl; Jerome Sewell, Head of Rollsafe, a green transport initiative led by youth organisation Unique Talent CIC; Beth Morley, Future Transport Behaviour Change Lead at Transport for West Midlands; Rebecca Tyson, General Manager at Vialoco; and Matthew Ledbury, Senior Policy and Advocacy Officer at CoMoUK.
In session two is Mark Riley, Delivery Process Design Manager, Royal Mail; Bill Clare, Co-Founder of if.Vehicles; Jeyda Heselton, Co-Founder at Fettle; Jonathon Nunan, Sales and Marketing Director, EAV; Will Vaughan, Managing Director at Pedicargo; and Chris Dixon, Co-Founder at Pedal Me.
Professor David Greenwood, CEO of High Value Manufacturing Catapult at WMG, told Zag: “As Micromobility UK enters its third year, we look forward to advancing the debate towards how we will safely deliver low cost, zero emission, inclusive personal transport to our towns and cities.
“With our change of venue to Stoneleigh park, we’ll have even greater opportunities for people to try out new and current vehicles in a safe but realistic environment.”
The event is aimed at manufacturers in the micromobility sector, shared operators, regional transport authorities, city councils, government agencies, finance representatives, research institutions and more.
“It’s the best opportunity to see the future vision for micromobility and urban travel,” said Mark Urbanowski. “Key challenges including regulation, safety, innovation, manufacturing and modal shift will be discussed in themed sessions.”
Attendees will have the chance to trial the latest micromobility solutions, hear from industry and technology experts, visit exhibition stands and network.

Sophia Gibbs, Event Manager for WMG University of Warwick, said: “Micromobility UK goes far beyond the products or regulations in the market but considers consumer behaviour, infrastructure and how a shift to micromobility could be beneficial for the UK economy and of course health and wellbeing.
“As well as the schedule of talks we will have an expanded exhibition area for companies to take a stand and a trial route for vehicle demonstrations.”
