Mobility safety intelligence platform Flare has teamed up with EVware to integrate its incident detection software within the firm’s mobility solution.

EVware offers new mobility companies the integration of modern digital interfaces (HMI) and connected services. Through their EVware Apps, operators can access real-time data about vehicles and fleets.

The partnership will provide EVware customers with access to Flare’s extensive network and historical logs of road safety data in the micromobility sector.

In turn, vehicles that are equipped with EVware’s technology will now be visible on Flare Aware’s network. The platform uses advanced algorithms and sensors to detect potential hazards and alert users. It serves as a pre-warning system, alerting drivers to the presence of road users and enabling timely action to minimise the risk of incidents.

Charlie Wilson, Flare’s Chief Commercial Officer, told Zag Daily the initiative turns safety into a core component of the rider experience.

“This is because Flare’s incident detection and avoidance technology can run directly through EVware’s connected vehicle solution. However, it is also exciting to think of what we can do with EVware, a company that is operating at the forefront of connected micromobility, on innovations to improve safety and risk mitigation.”

EVware CEO Chris Tingley said the partnership reinforces the company’s mission to enhance the capabilities of emerging mobility types.

“By providing our customers with seamless access to the leading safety platform in the industry, EVware solidifies its position as a trusted partner in the pursuit of safer and more efficient micromobility solutions,” he said.
